Q: Tell us a little about yourself and your story (who you are, where you're going, where you've been) A: I was born in raised in Chicago, IL. I moved to Los Angeles about five years ago to attend film school at Columbia College - Hollywood, which really isn't in Hollywood. At film school, I met my collaborator and codirecter, Brett Snider. We became friends at school and, since we've graduated, we have been trying to establish ourselves as a directing team. Q: What was your inspiration for "Mouse Trap"? A: The inspiration for mousetrap was taking the essence of Doritos (cheese) and doing it in a BIG way. There is something so iconic about mice and cheese and I wanted something that could reflect the intensity of the Super Bowl. Having a giant mouse tackle someone is all of those elements combined. Q: Was there anything interesting or funny that happened during the shoot? A: One of the funniest things on the set was seeing Brett (as the mouse) dive through a wall of sheet rock. Fortunately, he was a one-time professional wrestler. Another one was a fight that pitted Brett against me and the DP. Brett was quite hot-headed for nearly a half hour and then finally cooled off. It's only funny now because we're finalists. Q: What superpower would you most like to have? A: I'd rather be like batman and just have all the cool gadgets and be a billionaire playboy. Q: If you wrote a book about your life, what would the title be? A: My Way Q: What is your favorite Doritos flavor? Why? A: I like the Nacho Cheese, because they taste like cheese does. |
