Q: Tell us a little about yourself and your story (who you are, where you're going, where you've been)

A: I am 42 year old married father of three boys (ages 9, 11, 13) and one little (princess) girl of 3. I am a Wedding Photographer, and have been for 17+ years. I teach Wedding Photography part-time for an Adult Ed. school (Covina Unified School District, Calif). I purchased a Mac, camera, and an editing program in April of this year, and started learning how to film. I was informed of an upcoming contest where I could school myself and learn more about filming. I enrolled in Doritos 'Crash The Super Bowl Contest' 101, and what an education it was.

Q: What was your inspiration for "Chip Lover's Dream"?

A: I wanted to give the viewer a show. I had alot of ideas I wanted to include, but with only 30 seconds in which to do it, I had to discriminate. I went to college for the first time at age 40, two years ago, and learned a valuable lesson from my English 101 professor (Cynthia Hanson). Revise and re-write, revise and re-write. I learned (at a late age) that just maybe, my second thought could be as good as my first. I brainstormed my story options, and figured out the pieces that led to 'Rock Climber' falling to his death. I thought the concept was sound but soon gleaned from people I respect that the Death Concept might not fly as an acceptable 'AD' pitch. I was concerned and a little flustered/dejected. One morning my wife Marlaine said "Why not have him 'wake up' from a dream, the brilliance light clicked on and "A Chip Lovers DREAM' was born.

Q: Was there anything interesting or funny that happened during the shoot?

A: During the second day of shooting, a park ranger threatened to cite me $500.00, for filming without a permit at Joshua Tree National Park. Nice Park Ranger. Needless to say, we were kicked off the park lands. We had to complete filming in some nice mans backyard just a few miles outside the park gate. The homeowner was a little hesitant at first when he saw a 'mini me' GI Joe doll (dressed identical to myself) perched on my mini-van dashboard, but ultimately he invited us on to his property and let us shoot all day. There ARE nice people in the world.

Q: What superpower would you most like to have?

A: To eat whatever I wanted and not get fat.

Q: If you wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?

A: The Adventures of a Good Looking Chubby White Boy

Q: What is your favorite Doritos flavor? Why?

A: Spicy Nacho. During one of my failed filming shoots (a clip I never used- I was sitting eating Neapolitan Ice cream), I discovered that using Doritos to scoop up and eat ice cream is a very tasty exercise. Other flavors might work, but Spicy Nacho was my first, and like a 'kiss', the first one is always the most memorable.
